Me have received a copy of your application for license amendment dated january 9, 1980 (L-80-7), which you filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (ONRR) for review and approval.
The application proposed the replacement of selected safety-related hydraulic snubbers with mechanical snubbers during the upcoming refueling outage for St. Lucie Unit No. 1.
Your application was not accompanied by' license amendment fee and fee determination as required by 10 CFR 170.
Based on guidance from the ONRR staff as a result of their preliminary review of your application, it has been determined that the requested action involves consideration of a single safety issue.
As such, it requires a Class III fee of $4,000 which should be forwarded to,this office promptly. If the final review of your application by the ONRR staff reveals that this fee is incorrect, your Company will be refunded any overpayment or billed for any additional amount due.
