RII:JPO 50-335 IE Bulletin 79-17 The ASME Section XI visual examination requested by Item 2(a) of the subject Bulletin has been performed.

The results were satisfactory, and are available for detailed review at the plant site.

We have learned, through informal contacts with the NRC and other utilities, that Bulletin 79-17 is being revised.

Therefore, to permit the most efficient use of our resources, we plan to reschedule further work on the Bulletin after we have received and reviewed the revision.
