EXTENDED EXPOSURE LIMITS FOR DRESDEN UNIT NOS. 2 AND 3 (TAC NOS. 76166 AND 76167)

The staff has reviewed your February 22, 1990 submittal and enclosures provided to support your request for an extension of the maximum assembly exposures for Advanced Nuclear Corporation (ANF) 8x8 fuel designs currently installed in the Dresden 2 and 3 reactor cores. Based on the use of the approved methodology and meeting the requirements of 10 CFR 50 Appendix K, the staff has concluded that your request to extend the burnup limits up to 36.5 GWd/MTU on the peak assembly is acceptable. A copy of our Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
