This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Ors. R. B. Holtzman
and J. E.
House~f this office onsite on Aprtl 23-27, 1990, and continued
inoffice through June 1, 1990, .of activities at the Dresden Nuclear Power
- Station, Units 2 and 3 authorized by NRC Operating Licenses No. DPR-19 and
No. DPR-25 and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. E. D. Eenigenburg *
and others of your staff at the conclusion of the onsite portion of the
inspection and.with Mr. D. Morey and pthers of your staff on May 5 through
June 1, 1990.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection.
Within thes~ areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
In addition, our Mobile Laboratory was at the site
during the inspection to .perform independent measurements of radioactivity.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the co~rse of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2~790 of the Commission's r.egulations, a copy
of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the
NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
