This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Dr. R. B. Holtzman
of this office on February 13-16, 1990, of-activities at the Dresden Nuclear
Power Station, Units 2 and 3, authorized by NRC Operating Licenses No. DPR-19
and DPR-25, and to the discussion of ou~ findings with Mr. L. F. Gerner and
others of your staff at the conclusion df the inspection.
Subsequently, a
telephone discussion.was held with Mr. K. Whittum of your staff on March 1,
1990.

The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy .of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC
Pub 1 ic Document Room.*
