This refers to the special safety inspection conducted by Mr. T. Ploski and

Ms. M. Smith of this office on April 24-25, 1989, of activities of your

corporate staff in support of the nuclear stations* emergency preparedness

programs, authorized by NRC Operating Licenses No. DPR-19, DPR-25, DPR-29,

DPR-30, DPR-39, DPR-48, NPF-11, NPF-18, NPF-37, NPF-66, NPF-72, and NPF-77,

and to the discussion of our findings with.Ms. I. Johnson of your staff at

the conclusion of the inspection.

The enclosed copy of our ln~pection report identifies areas examined during

the inspection.

Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective

examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and

interviews with personnel.

No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this

inspection.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of

this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC

Public Document Room.
