NOTICE OF VIOLATION Commonwealth Edison Company Docket No. 50-237 Docket No. 50-249 As a result of the inspection conducted on August 5 through September 29, 1986, and in accordance with the General Policy and *Procedures for NRC Enforcement Actions, (10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C), the following violation was identified:
10 CFR 20.202 states, in part:
Each licensee shall supply appropriate personnel monitoring equipment to, and shall require the use of such equipinent by each individual who enters a restricted area under such circumstances that he receives or is likely to receive, a dose in any calendar quarter in excess of 25 percent of the applicable value specified in Paragraph (a) of 20.101.
Dresden FSAR 9.5.5.2 states, in part:
All employees, contractor personnel and visitors are issued and required to wear film badges at all tiines when entering, working in or visiting radiation areas.
10 CFR 73.55 (d)(6) states, in part:
11A numbered picture badge identification system shall be used for all indivi-duals who are authorized access to protected area without escort... Badges sha 11 be displayed by a 11 i ndi vi duals while inside the protected area.
11 Contrary to the above, a licensee employee was found to be working in a radiation area in protective clothing without wearing his personnel dosimetry and security badge*.
This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement IV).
The inspection showed that action had been taken to correct the identified violation and to prevent recurrence.
Consequently, no reply to this violation is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter.
