This refers to the special safety inspection conduct.ed by Mr. W. J. Key of this
office on March 6-7, 12-14, and 19; April 1-4, lG-18, 29-30; May 1 .and 13-15;
Jun~ 25-27; July 15-19; and August 5-6a 1986, of activities at~resden Station,
Unit 3, authorized by NRC Operating License No. _DPR.:.25 and to the discussion of
our finding with Mr. D. J. Scott and others of your staff at the conclusion of
the inspection.

The enclosed copy of our inspection .report identifies areas examined during
the inspection.
Within these areas, the inspectioh consisted of ~ selective
exa~ination of procedures and.representative records, observations, and
intervi.ews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the CQUrs~ of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copyof
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be. placed in the NRC
Pub1ic Document Room. *
The responses directed by this lette~ and the accompanying Notice are not
