UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D. C. 20555 APR 2 3 1986 Docket Nos. 50-237/249 Commonwealth Edison Company ATTN:
Mr. Dennis L. Farrar Director of Nuclear Licensing P.O. Box 767 Chicago, IL 60690 Gentlemen:
By letter dated March 5, 1985, your Company was informed of the results of the Division of Licensing (DL) staff's preliminary review of your October 5, 1981 applica~ion, as supplemented.
This application trans-mitted the Second 10-Year Inservice Inspection and Testing Program and requested relief from certain ASME Code requirements for the Dresden Nuclear Power Station Unit Nos. 2 and 3.
Fees pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22 of the March 23, 1978 regulations were not remitted with your application.
Based on information provided by the DL staff as the result of their preliminary review of the October 5 submittal as supplemented, it has been determined that a Class III fee ($4,000) and a Class I fee ($400) are appropriate since the review will involve consideration of a single safety issue and a duplicate unit. Therefore, your Company is requested to remit the sum of $4,400 to this office. If the DL staff's detailed review of your application reveals that these fees are not appropriate, you will be notified and any necessary adjustments will be made.
Sincerely,
/-----;
