SUMMARY
OF MEETING HELD ON APRIL 8~ 1986 The NRC and a representative of their contractor, Franklin Research Center, held a meeting with CECo and their contractors, Sargent and Lundy and Professional Loss Control, to discuss details of their technical and*schedular exemptions to Appendix R of IO CFR Part 50.
A list of attendees is provided in Enclosure 1.
All viewgraphs used during the meeting were frol)l the submittais already filed by CECo on these issues.
With the viewgraphs as a guide, CECo*and the staff first discussed item by item the technical exemptions requested for Dresden.
Based on these dis-cussions CECo agreed to resubmit the request and to withdraw exemptions no longer needed, discuss the issue of 11 independence" relati~e to the exemptions and change the classification of exemption requests as needed.
In the area of alternate shutdown paths, CECo will send additional information on concerns,,
raised by the *staff. For the schedular exemption~* CECo agreed to file a revision to their interim compensatory measures to again respond to *staff
_ concerns.
All of the above is to be provided to the staff in approxim~tely two weeks.
