NOTICE OF VIOLATION Commonwealth Edison Company Docket No. 50-10 Docket No. 50-237 Docket No. 50-246 As a result of the inspection conducted on January 27-31, February 4 and 5, 1986, and in accordance with the "General Policy and Procedures for NRC Enforcement Actions, 11 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1985), the following violation was identified:

Unit 2 Technical Specifications Section 6.2.B states:

Radiation control procedures shall be maintained, made available to all station personnel and adhered to.

Contrary to the above, Chemistry Procedure Book No. 35 located in the nonradiological laboratory was not maintained in that on January 30, 1986, (1) it contained Revision 0, dated January 1983, of DCP 1900-2, "Quality Control Program For Chemistry Instrumentation," rather than Revision 1, dated May 1985; (2) it contained both Revisions 4 and 5 of DCP 1100-7 "Chloride - High Range, 11 ;

and ( 3) two 1400 series procedures were filed a.mong 1100 series procedures.

This is a Severity Level V violation (Supplement IV).

Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, you are required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of this Notice a written statement or explanation in reply, including for each violation:

(1) corrective action taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective action to be taken to avoid further violations; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.

Consideration may be given to extending your response time for good cause shown.
