We have reviewed the resul.ts of the Type A, B and. C leak rate tests submitted by References 1 and 2.
Our review indicates that the last two consecutive Type A tests at Dresden Unit 2 were failures and, pursua*nt to 10 CFR 50, Appendix J, Section III.A.6.(b), a Type A test should be performed during each plant shutdown for refueling.until two consecutive Type A tests 111eet the acceptance criteria of Appendix J.
Accordingly, unless you request and are granted an exemption from this requirement by NRR, we expect you to conduct a Type A tes.t during your upcoming refueling outage.
