.rj.'A** *.*'SJ By letter dated November 5, 1982.* the Division of licensing (Dl) staff informed you that it would be inappropriate for them to act on your request dated June 17, 1982 before the applicable 10 CFR Part 50 regulation became effective. This reqµest proposed certain Technical Specification changes which would clarify the responsibilities during emergencies for Dresden Statton, Unf ts 2 and 3 and Quad Cities Station, Uni.ts 1 and 2.

Two Class II fees ($2,400) and two Class I fees ($800) were remitted wf th your request pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22.:,

Sfoce no action will be taken on your June 17 application. consistent w1i'h DL's letter dated November 5, 1982, we.are concurrently authorizing the Division of Accounting and Finance to* refund the $3,200 wMch your Company paid with it.

Refunds are generally made within a two-week period.
