. NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF FACILITY OPERATL'ijG LICENSE (October l, 1980)
On August 3. 1978, the United States Nuclear Regulatory
- * ** Commission (the Commission) issued a notice of "Proposed Issuance of ~ndmetits to Operating Licenses" relating ~o the above identified f.acil"ities (43. E!£.* Reg. 35763. August ll, 1978).
The proposed amendments would permit an increase in the storage capacity of the spent fuel pool at Dresden Station.
The State of Illinois subniitted a petition to intervene, dated September 8, 1978 pursuant to Sections 2. 714 and 2. 715.(c) of the Commission's Rules of Practice.
In a Notice.of Hearing dated March 29, 1979, the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board, originally appointed to hear this matter~ found that.the State of Illinois' petition was "clearly sufficient to meet the *requirements of both Sections 2.714 and s o l o o 7 o oJ-3
- . 2.715(c) and accordingly, it granted the petition to intervene.
The Board as reconstituted un4er Section 2.721 of the Commission's Rules of Practice, as amended, (44 !:!.£. Reg.
45496, August 2, 1979) recognizes and reaffi:ms the granting of the State of Illinois' petition to intervene.
