June 5, 1980 I am er.closing a copy of the Safety Evaluation and an Environmental Impact Appraisal prepared by the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation supporting proposed facility modifications to increase the capacity of the Spent Fuel Storage Pool at Dresden Nuclear.Power Station, Unit Nos. 2 and 3. These documents are related to your application dated May 11, 1978, as supplemented January 12, January 24, Ma~ 30, June 12, August 17 and October 19, 1979.
Although these documents indicate our acceptance of your proposed modifications to increase the capacity of the spent fuel storage pools for Dresden Unit Nos.
2 and 3, and the requested Technical Specification changes, and agreed upon changes reco1T111ended by the staff, final approval of these actions cannot be granted.until the issues currently before the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board are resolved.
