Teleconference between ComEd (J. Schrage, et al) and USNRC (R. Pulsifer, et al) on December 5, 1994 In References (1) and (2), Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd) submitted the Individual Plant Examination (IPE) for Dresden Station Units 2 and 3 and Quad Cities 'Station Units 1 and 2. In the Reference (3) and (4) Requests for Additional Information (RAI), the NRC staff identified additional information which would be required in order to review and approve the IPEs for Dresden Station and Quad Cities Station. ComEd provided the required information in the Reference (5) letter for Dresden Station and the Reference (6) letters for Quad Cities Station.
In the Reference (7) teleconference, the NRC Staff requested clarification of ComEd' s
- response to Question 2 of the Quad Cities IPE RAI (Reference (6)). Specifically, the NRC Staff requested documentation of the screening methodology for plant-specific initiators when including these initiators into the general transient initiators.
In response to that request, ComEd is providing Sections 1, 2, and 3 from the "Quad Cities Initiating Notebook" as Enclosure 1. These sections address the sources for identifying initiating events, the initiators that were applicable to Quad c;i~ies Station, and the disposition of each of the initiators.

U. November 30, 1994 In addition to the information provided in Enclosure 1, the NRC Staff requested information pertaining to the* recovery from a Loss of Offsite Power at Dresden Station. Enclosure 2 provides a copy of Calculation Note - DR-CN-92-006, "Recovery of Power Probabilities for Dresden IPE."
