This refers to the inspection conducted by W. Rogers; M. Peck,

A. M. Stone,

P. Lougheed, and A. Markley of this office, and by R. Zuffa of the Illinois * *

Department of N~clear Safety, on September 16 through November 9, 1992.

The

inspection included ~ review of* activities authdrited for your Dresden Nucle~r

Station, Units 2and 3, facility.

At the conclusion of the inspection, the

findings were discussed with those members of your staff i~entified in the

~nclnsed teport.

Areas examined during the inspection are identified ~n the report. Within*

these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures

and representative records; interviews with personnel, and observation of

  • activities ,in progress..

No ~iolations cif NRC requirements ~ere identified during the cotirse of this

inspection.

However, certain activities, set forth in the enclosure to this.

_letter, appear to be a deviatiori from commitments which you made in previous

correspondence with the Commission with. regards to your corrective actions *

associated with Generic Letter 89-10, Supplement 3, ~Consideration of The

Resu~ts of NRC-Sponsored Te$tS of Motor-Operated Valves.~
