SUBJECT:
MEETING WITH CECO ON TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION IMPROVEMENTS The purpose of the meeting was to go over the first three packages CECo submitted under the Dresden/Quad Cities technical specification improvement effort. Their original input was in notebook, prose form.
The format we suggested was a three.column chart.

improved technical specification, the second, the proposed Dresden or Quad Cities upgraded technical specification, the third, the delta and the rational;)
The chart format provides a line by line iomparison of the technical specifications; it makes our job easier.

I have already reformatted the packages we have in-house.
- After CECo responds to some quest i.'ons, Byron Siegel and I wilt write a Safety Evaluation and send it up as a "trial balloon" through the technical stiff and*

There was some *concern over 'how the individual-packages should be subm.itted.
Neither CECo n*or NRC was.sure.*how to*: identify the packages for purposes. of Federal Register noticing, issui~g evaluations ~f.the individual packages, or the final Safety Evaluation.
The question was deferred to Christy Moore, Licensing Assistant for PDllI-2.
She will.also determine what,' if any control needs ta be maintained over the ~oftware discs* CECo sends in.* CEC9 will prov.i de the procedures in WordR\\frfect 5.1.
