This refers to the management meeting between Mr. Charles E. Norelius and
other members of the NRC staff and Mr. K. Graesser and other members of your
staff on October 15, 1992, at the Dresden Nuclear Power Station to distuss
recent acco~plishments and planned improvements in the radiological controls
program at Dresden.
Discussion by your staff at the meeting indicated there is a well developed,
long-term plan for improving the radiological controls program at Dresden.
The emphasis of this plan appeared properly directed on the need for
interdepartmental cooperation and worker accountability .. Through our
inspection program and the Dresden Oversight Team we will continue to monitor
the radiological controls program as specific actions of this plan are
implemented.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this meeting.
