Dear Mr .. *Reed:
This refers to the management meeting held between you and members of your
staff and A; Bert Davis and members of the NRC staff with regards to activities
at Dresd~n Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3.
As you are aware, we
identified what we believe to be a number of root causes common to the event~
which have occurred at Dresden over the past year.* Our c~nclusions and
concetns regarding thes~ events were provided to you in ~ letter dated
.
November 8, 1991 and were used as the basis for this meeting.
We appreciate
your cooperation in openly discussing these concerns and the corrective actions
you have taken and are developing to addre~s *them. *As we discussed during the
meeting, there is much progress that must be made to improve y'our level of.
performance at Dresden .. We will be reviewing your progress in future
inspections and no response to this report is required.
