REQUEST DRESDEN FOR AD.TIONA~

UNIT 2 FOR SEP INFORMATION ON TOPIC VII-1.A The FSAR does not contain sufficient information for us to review the degree of isolation between the nuclear instrumentation CNI> and non-safety syste*s receiving NI signals. Therefore, please provide the following *additional information:

(1) List all parameters and systems that interface between the safety and non-safety systems.

C2) Identlfy the type of transmission Ci.e.

a~alc3. digital, electric, optic, etc.>

invol~ed with each interface that is identified in response to Part C1) above.

<3) Identify the type of isolation device that defines the Class 1E boundary for each interface identified in response to Part (1) above.

(4) Provide the acceptance criteria for each isolation de11ice identified in response to Part C3) above.

(5l Describe the type of testing that ~as conducted on the isolation devices to insure adequate protection against exceeding the voltage and current limits

~pecified in Part (4) above.

(6} Describe the qualification test plans and provide the test results for each isolator iden~i7ied in response to Part (3) above.

(7) Provide the electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for each type of isolation device used.
