NRC Combined Inspection Report Nos, 50-387/90-22 and 50-388/90-22
A routine radiological controls inspection was conducted by Mr. R. L. Nimitz at the
Susquehanna
Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2, on October 10-15, 1990.
The inspection
concentrated
on reviews of radiological controls during the Unit 1 outage.
The findings of
the inspection were discussed with Mr. G. Stanley.
The areas reviewed during the inspection are described in the enclosed inspection report.
These areas included action on previous findings, organization, staffing, training and
qualifications, external and internal exposure controls, audits and ALARA.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified. The inspection identified
that effective external and internal exposure controls were implemented for the Unit 1 outage.
The inspector identified a need to review the accreditation of your personnel dosimetry.
Several areas for improvement in the area of external and internal exposure controls was also
identified.
