A routine, announced,
safety inspection of your emergency
preparedness
program was
conducted by Mr. E. Fox of this office on September
10-14, 1990 at your Susquehanna
Steam Electric Station, Units 1 4 2, Berwick, Pennsylvania.
Discussions ofour findings were
held by Mr Fox with members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report
which is enclosed.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of
procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations made by
the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were identified. No reply to
this letter is required.
