Susquehanna
Steam
Electric
Station,
Salem
Township,
The
results
are
documented
in
the
enclosed
inspection
report.
The inspection
covered
plant operations,
surveil-
lance,
maintenance,
Unit
2 refueling activities,
and licensee
events.
At the
conclusion
of the inspection,
Mr. F.
Young
summarized
the inspection
findings
to Mr. R.
Byram and other members of your staff.
The
inspection
reviewed
several
events,
including
one
which
resulted
in
physical
damage
to
reactor
vessel
spar'ger
nozzles.
Although the
events did not
have
any direct
impact
on nuclear
safety,
management
attention
is
needed
to
ensure
that
the
causes
are
identified
and that
comprehensive
corrective actions
are taken.
