He have received the following applications which were filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (ONRR) for review in connection with the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station Unit No. 1.

1.

A February 20, 1985 application relating to deletion of License. Condition 2.C. (4)(b).

A $150 application fee was remitted with your application pursuant to the June 20, 1984 revision to 10 CFR 170.

2.

A June 5> 1985 application relating to SgRT qualification.

The required application fee of $ 150 was not remitted with your application.

Based on information provided by the ONRR staff, it has been determined that:

1.

A refund of $150 is appropriate for Item 1 since the ONRR staff is accepting the February 20 application as containing information which is supplemental to your October 30.

1984 application.

The required

$150 application fee was remitted with the October 30 application.

Your Company was notified of the ONRR staff's approval of your applications with the issuance of Amendment No. 47 on April 30, 1985.

2.

A $150 application is appropriate for Item 2 pursuant to the June 20, 1984 revision to 10 CFR 170.

This revised rule requires licensees to remit an application fee of $150 with each application for license amendment, relief, exemption and other request.

'fhe ONRR staff has informed us that review of your submittal is required in order to determine if License Condition 2.C. (23)(f) has been satisfied.

On the one hand, a refund of $150 is due your Company for Item 1 above

and, on the other hand, a $150 application fee is due the NRC for Item 2 above.

Rather than refund the $150 due your Company for Item 1, we are applying it to the $150 application fee due for Item 2.
