In Reference 1, NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC (NextEra Energy Seabrook) submitted an application for a renewed facility operating license for Seabrook Station Unit 1 in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Parts 50, 51 , and 54.

In Reference 2, the NRC issued License Renewal Interim Staff Guidance, LR-ISG-2016 Changes to Aging Management Guidance for Various Steam Generator Components.

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission SBK-L-17082 I Page 2 In Reference 3, the NRC requested additional information related to the issuance of LR-ISG-2016 Changes to Aging Management Guidance for Various Steam Generator Components.

NextEra Energy Seabrook has contracted a vendor to perform the bounding analyses evaluation which provides direct input into answering Request #2 of RAI B.2.1.10-3 (Reference 3) and drives the changes to the Aging Management Program as outlined in LR-ISG-2016-01. At this time, the vendor is not expected to complete this task until after the mutually agreed upon response date of May 19, 2016. As such, NextEra Energy Seabrook proposes to extend the current response date from May 19, 2017 to May 26, 2017 in order to allow for submittal of a complete response. This request has been discussed with the NRC License Renewal Project Manager, Lois James.
