SUBJECT:
EVALUATION OF THE SUSQUEHANNA STEAM ELECTRIC STATION UNITS 1
AND 2 FOR CONFORMANCE TO GENERIC LETTER 83-28 ITEMS 3.1.3 AND 3.2,3 PP8L was required by Generic Letter 83-28 Items 3.1.3 and 3.2.3 to review their Technical Specifications for post maintenance testing requirements that may degrade rather than enhance safety.
PPSL has responded to this staff letter and the NRC staff review has found PP5L's responses to Generic Letter 83-28 Items 3. 1.3 and 3.2.3 to be acceptable for both Units 1 and 2.
Enclosure 1 contains the NRC contractor's report (EG8G EA-6902) which finds the responses for Unit 1 acceptable.
The staff has concurred on the contractor's findings.
Enclosure 2 contains a staff summary of and concurrence on the contractors report for Unit 2.
Enclosure 3 contains the contractors report for Unit 2 (EG&G EA-7018) which finds the responses for Unit 2 acceptable.
The staff considers these items to be completed.
