Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982 (P. L.97-425) Section 302(b)

Amendment No.

7 to License NPF-14 issued on January 31, 1983 included paragraph 3 that required you to take appropriate action to initiate negotiations with DOE regarding the disposal of high-level waste or spent nuclear fuel.

In addition, Generic Letter 83-07 dated February 16, 1983 notified you of the NRC's initial interpretation of Section 302(b) of the subject Act.

Since it is our understanding that you are pursuing a contract with DOE, we consider the action required by. Amendment No.

7 to License NPF-14, Paragraph 3 to be completed.
