In Amendment No.
7 to the Susqueha'nna Unit 1 Facility Operating License (N6'; NPF-14),
we added a requirement related to,the Nuclear Ilaste Policy Act of 1982 (PL97-425).
To satisfy this requirement, PPSL shall pursue an agreement with the Secretary of Energy by Hay l"..'983 for the disposal of high-level radioactiveCuiaste and spent nuclear fuel.
On February ll, 1983, the Secretary of Energy, in a letter to NRC Chairman Palladino, provided guidance for utilities in regard to pursuing an agreement with the Department of Energy (DOE).
A copy of this letter is enclosed for your information.
