Informational Request for Emergency Diesel Engine Air Starting System 1.

Provide a copy of the test procedure used to conduct the diesel start test per the requirement of Technical Specification 4.8.1.1.2.d.12.

2.

Provide a description of the diesel starting sequence including the quantity (cfm) of air used in each start and the rpm when the solenoid valve (start valve) shuts.

3.

Provide a discussion on how compliance is met to requirements of IEEE Standard 387-1977, Sections 6.3.2 and 6.4. 1 with regard to the definition of an engine start, and Section 5.6.2.2( 1) with regard to automatic override while performing the diesel start test per Technical Specification 4.8.1.1.2.d.12.
