USE OF ASNE CODE CASE N-316 FOR THE SUS(UEHANNA STEAN ELECTRIC STATION, UNITS-1 and 2

In response to your request of January 20, 1982 (PLA-1003), the NRC has completed its review and assessment on the use of ASt)E Code Case N-316, "Alternative Rules to Fillet Held Dimensions for Section III, Division'1, Class 1, 2 and 3 Socket Meld Fittings." It has been approved by the Commission for general use and may be used in the construction of components for the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2.

Use of the code case should accordingly be documented in amending the FSAR.
