Use of ASME Code CiS'e 1481-1 For The Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Unit Nos.
1 and 2 The HRC staff has completed i'ts review of the Pennsylvania Power l) Light Company request for authorization to use
'ASME Code Case 1481-1 for application in the construction of the diesel generator exhaust piping for the Susquehanna Steam Ele'ctric Station, Unit Nos.
1 and 2, Docket Nos.
50-387 and 50-388, as identified in the applicant's letters PLA-747 and PLA-862, dated April 28, -1981 and June 26.
1981 respectively.
Code Case 1481-1 (N-19), dated March 1, 1976, "Elevated Temperature Desiqn of Section III, Division 1, Class 2 and 3 Components",
is 'an acceptable code case and was approved by the Commission for general use and may be used in the construction of components during the period the code case was in effect.
Revision 1 of the code case was superseded by Revision 2 on July 11. 1977. - tie have reviewed the information supplied by the applicant in support of their us'e of Revision 1 of the code case and we concur that this revision is applicable in the construction of the diesel generator exhaust piping for Susquehanna Units 1 and 2.
tie find the use of Code Case 14811 as indicated above to be acceptable.
Use of the code case should be documented in the FSAR.
