REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON DIABLO CANYON SPENT FUEL POOLS Your letters of March 6 and April 2, 1986 requested information on the reracking of the Diablo Canyon spent fuel pools proposed by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).
I The NRC staff has been reviewing the PG&E proposal and is currently preparing '
safety evaluation and environmental assessment in support of the forthcoming NRC action on the proposal.
Both documents are to be issued in the near future.
We expect that the documents will address most of your requests either directly or by reference to other information already available at the NRC Public Document Room for Diablo Canyon, (California Polytechnic State University Library, Documents and Maps Department, San Luis Obispo, California 93407).
The information includes NRC requests for information from PG&E, responses to such requests and meeting summaries.
