i ENCLOSURE 2 DIABLO CANYON OCTOBER 18, 1984.AUDIT CONTINUATION REQUIRED ITEMS The following items were identified by the staff during the October 18, 1984 design calculation audit continuation meeting held at City College New York.

l.

BURIED CONDUIT a.

Design calculations for the buried electrical conduits currently in place at the plant site.

2.

TURBINE BUILDING a.

Calculations showing the adequacy of the concrete buttresses.

b.

Calculations for the steel floor plates used to distribute the floor loads showing the plates meet the buckling and stress criteria considering. the interaction of all stress components.

3.

CONTAINMENT ANNULUS a.

Calculations for the justification of the 20 Hertz cutoff

~

frequency.

The calculations are similar to the Unit 1 calculations.

Additionally, provide individual stress check calculations for critical members.

b.

Provide the justification for the screening criteria used in selecting members for detailed torsional analysis.

c.

Provide 'a representative sample calculations for a member that was evaluated for a high torsional load.

This member should be one that was not reinforced to satisfy the 20 Hz minimum frequency criteria.

4.

RACEWAY SUPPORTS a ~

b.

Provide the basis for the-al-lowable stresses used in the design of the'supports.

Provide the. raceway-weight. and justification thereof,. used in the support design.

c.

Provide pertinent design drawings that can be used to verify the locations of the supports.

I

r d.

Confirm that the use of the factor KB used in the support calculations is correctly applied in the design aid LCR AID

'82.

e.

The dates shown in calculation package 25-176 for the originator and checker do not follow chronologically thru the sheets.

Provide.clarification:for the order of the calculations.

f..

The. reference cited on page 13 of calculations.25-176 is not contained in the package as indicated.

Provide the reference.

g.

Provide the verification that the information contained in design aid LCR AID 82 is applicable to the raceway support members.

h.

Provide the calculations for the transverse support KX.460 and the longitudinal support 25-176.
