Gentlemen:
In accordance with your Memorandum and Order, ALAB-607 (August 19, 1980),
enclosed is a copy of the Combined Testimony of James F. Devine and Robert F. Yerkes ("Combined Testimony" ) and a copy of the professional qualifications of Robert F. Yerkes.
The USGS report referenced on page 2 of the Combined Testimony entitled, "Review of geologic and seismological technical reports for proposed liquidified natural gas storage near Point Conception, California, "released by letter on October 31, 1979 was served on the Appeal Board and the parties by letter from HRC Staff Counsel dated August 18, 1980.
A second report is referenced on page 2 of the Combined Testimony and is entitled, "Seismotectonic setting of Santa Barbara Channel
- area, southern California."
Due to exigencies of time and the limited number of copies of the February 1980 report available from the USGS only one copy is being served on each member of the Appeal Board and one copy on the Docketing and Service Section.
One copy of the February, 1980 report is being served on counsel for each of the parties.
One copy of the
- February, 1980 report is being sent to Dr. Trifunac, and one copy to Dr. Luco.
The method of service is as follows.
The Appeal Board and counsel located in the Wasnington, D.C. area are being hand served by messenger.
Dr. Trifunac, Dr. Luco, and Mr. Bruce Norton for Pacific Gas and Electric Company are being served with the Combined Testimony and the February, 1980 USGS report by the U.S. Postal Service express mail.
Other persons and entities listed on the service list are being served with a copy of the Combined Testimony only by normal servjce in the U.S. mail.
