0 NIAGARAMOHAWKPOWER CORPORATION NINE MILEPOINT NUCLEAR STATION UNIT ¹1 NARRATIVEOF OPERATING EXPERIENCE The station operated during the month of December 1996 with a Unit Availability Factor of 100.0% and a Net Design Electrical Capacity Factor of 98.6%.
There were no challenges to the Electromatic Relief Valves. Reduction in Capacity Factor were due to various reasons.
¹13 Reactor Recirculation Pump was removed from service for maintenance.
On December 9, 1996,
¹13 RRP was returned to service.
On December 24, 1996, at about 2130 hours0.0247 days <br />0.592 hours <br />0.00352 weeks <br />8.10465e-4 months <br />, ¹11 circulating water pump tripped due to a faulty motor lead.
The unit was derated to 78% power for 47.3 hours3.472222e-5 days <br />8.333333e-4 hours <br />4.960317e-6 weeks <br />1.1415e-6 months <br />.
Also, during the month power was reduced for a control rod pattern adjustment.
