On October 17, 1995, the Commission i,ssued NRC Bulletin 95-02, "Unexpected Clogging of a Residual Heat Removal (RHR)
Pump Strainer While Operating in Suppression Pool Cooling Hode."
You have responded to this bulletin for Nine Hile Point Nuclear Station, Unit 1, by letters dated November 16,
- 1995, and April 26, 1996.
The NRC staff has completed its review of your responses and finds them to be acceptable.
Enclosed is our safety evaluation resulting from the review of your responses.
