INTEGRATED PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT PROCESS NRC TEAM INSPECTION
Dear Hr. Sylvia:
The purpose of this letter is to announce an inspection of your Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station using the integrated performance assessment process (IPAP).
We have scheduled the onsite inspection for the periodsof March 4-8,
- 1996, and March 18-22, 1996 and your staff has indicated that their are no major conflicts with onsite activities.
The inspection objective will be to develop an integrated perspective of performance strengths and weaknesses based on a review of objective information; to validate preliminary conclusions about safety performance through an independent, performance-based, onsite inspection; and to develop inspection recommendations based on the results of the inspection.
The inspection requirements and guidance in NRC inspection procedure 93808 will be used for this inspection.
The inspection team will consist of a team leader and eight inspectors.
