By letter dated May 6, 1993, Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation (NHPC) responded to our March 9, 1993, request for additional information regarding NHPC's NHP-2 IPE which had been submitted on July 30, 1992.

guestion General 4 stated that each of the improvement initiatives shown in Table 6. 1-1 and in Section 6.2 of the IPE were planned for completion by the end of the 1993 refueling outage.

Since the 1993 refueling outage has been completed and since credit was taken in the IPE for completion of these improvement initiatives, we request that within 30 days of receipt of this

letter, NHPC confirm that the subject improvement initiatives have been completed or provide a justification for any delays in their completion.

For any improvement initiatives that have not been completed, please provide an assessment of their delays on the core damage frequencies reported in the IPE.
