INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-410/93-27
This letter transmits the findings of the special safety inspection condticted by
Messrs.
J. H. Williams and S. L. Hansell of this office from November 29 to
December 3, 1993, at Nine Mile Point, Unit 2. At the conclusion of the inspection,
Mr. Williams held discussions of our findings with members of your staff.
The inspection was'n the area of plant operations.
The objective was to ensure that the
facility's operations department conducted activities in a safe manner and in accordance with
both regulatory requirements
and licensee approved procedures.
In summary, operations were conducted safely, in accordance with regulatory requirements,
and approved procedures.
Within the scope of this inspection, no unresolved items or violations were identified.
The
corrective actions associated
with one violation and one inspector follow item were reviewed
and found to be acceptable.
We appreciate, your cooperation.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and
its enclosures willbe placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
