NRC REGION I COMBINED INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-220/92-19
AND 50-410/92-21
This letter transmits the NRC Region I inspection report for the inspections conducted by
Mr. R. Bhatia of this office on July 6-10, 1992 and August 24-28, 1992, at Niagara
Mohawk, Salina Meadows Office in Syracuse,
New York and at Nine Mile Points Units 1
and 2, Scriba, New York. Mr. Bhatia discussed
the findings of this inspection with members
of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection focused on closure of previous Electrical Distribution
System Functional Inspection outstanding items for Unit 1 and Incident Investigation Team
/IT) concerns identified in NUREG-1455 and your committed corrective actions.
The
inspection covered the resolution and corrective actions pertaining to the adequacy of UPS
,units and concerns identified in the IITreport.
The inspection consisted of selected
examinations of design records and procedures,
interviews with personnel,
and observations
by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.
