Enclosed for your information is a copy of a "Notice of Issuance of Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact" and our Environmental Assessment related to your application for license amendment dated July 27,
- 1988, as supplemented May 21, 1991.
The proposed amendment would extend the expiration date of Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Unit No.
1 Facility Operating License No.
DPR-63 from April 11, 2005, to August 22, 2009.
This extension would provide an effective operating license term of 40-years from the beginning of plant operation rather than 40-years from the issuance of the construction permit.
The notice has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
