Region I Inspection Report No, 50-410/92-07
This refers to the inspection intended to promote public health and safety conducted by
Mr. P. Patnaik of this office from March 16-20, 1992 at the Nine Mile 2 Nuclear Power
plant in Oswego, New York. Mr. Patnaik discussed
the findings with the members of your
staff on March 20, 1992, at the conclusion of the inspection.
This inspection included review of the inservice inspection program for the reactor coolant
system, the erosion/corrosion program for the high energy piping systems and a sample of
nondestructive examination inspection data collected during the March 1992 outage.
These
are all important aspects of maintaining pressure boundary component integrity.
Within these areas,
the inspection consisted of-selective examination of procedures
and
representative
records, interviews with personnel
and observations by the inspector.
Within
the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed and, therefore, no response
to this
letter is required.
