This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. J. Furia of this office on
November 18-21, 1991, of activities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-63 and NPF-54,
and to the discussion of our findings held by Mr. J. Furia with Mr. M. McCormick, Mr. K.
Dahlberg and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
'Areas examined during this inspection included the radiological controls and transportation
programs,
as described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this
letter.
Within these areas,
the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative
records, interviews with personnel,
and observations by the inspector.
Continued improvement in the ALARAarea at Unit 2, and continued excellent performance
in the ALARAarea at Unit 1 were noted.
Concerns with housekeeping,
especially at Unit 2
were also noted.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were noted.
