FINAL RESPONSE TO NRC BULLETItl 88-10 FOR NIHE MILE POINT HUCLEAR STATIOH (TAC NOS.

71322 AND 71323)

By letter dated October 30, 1989, Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation (NMPC) responded to NRC Bulletin 88-10, "Nonconforming Molded-Case Circuit Breakers."

The response indicated that 33 stored spare molded-case circuit breakers and seven installed (four at Nine Mile Point 2 and three at Nine Mile Point 1) molded-case circuit breakers were untraceable to the circuit breaker manufacturer.

By letter dated February ll, 1991, NMPC provided the final disposition for these untraceable breakers.

The 33 spare breakers are being sent to the NMPC Investment Recovery Center and the seven untraceable breakers installed in Nine tlile Point Units 1 and 2 have been replaced.

These actions complete Nt<PC's activities in response to NRC Bulletin 88-10; therefore, NRC Bulletin 88-10 and TAC Nos.

71322 and 71323 are considered closed for Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station.
