SUBJECT:
PROPOSED REVIEW OF EOP ON CONTAINMENT VENTING In accordance with your request, we are scheduling a visit to Nine Mile Point, No. I and Susquehanna, Units 1 and 2 during the period February 10-12, 1988.
These two plants will constitute a sample of the BWR Mark I and Mark II plants for which the EPG's, which call for venting during an accident, have been implemented.
We have obtained copies of the relevant EOPs for this pur pose.
Our plan is to first review the EOPs in conjunction with the relevant P&ID's with the licensee and the resident inspector.
We will then participate with the licensee in a walkdown of the EOP to determine whether there exist any unique implementation problems or other matters that might warrant further NRR attention.
These visits will be coordinated with the Region I Projects staff.
