Nine Nile Point Unit 2 Docket No. 50-410 Enclosed are ten copies of the NMP2 High Energy Line Break Evaluation Report (Effect on Nonsafety-Related Control Components),
Revision 1, dated December ll, 19S5.
This revision supercedes Revision 0, dated October 30, 1985, submitted to Dr. Walter Butler, Chief, Licensing Branch No. 2, on November 19, 19S5.
In my letter of November 19, 1985 accompanying the report, it was stated that a high energy line break in the turbine building had been identified that could result in a feedwater temperature reduction transient more severe than that analyzed in Chapter 15 of the Final Safety Analysis Report.
The evaluation of that event has been completed
- and, as reported on page 3-11 of Revision 1, it shows that the event is bounded by Section 15.1.1 of the FSAR.
The planned walkdown mentioned in my earlier letter has been completed and the resultant findings have been addressed in this revision.
We believe this closes Safety 'Evaluation Report Confirmatory Issue No. 27.
