APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation Nine Mile Point, Unit 1

DPR-63 As a result of the inspection conducted on May 2, 1981 to May 31, 1981, and in accordance with the Interim Enforcement Policy, 45 FR 66754 (October.7, 1980), the following violation was identified:
A.
Technical Specification 3.6.10 states:
"All fire barrier penetration fire seals protecting safety related areas shall be intact.
With a fire barrier penetration fire seal not intact, a continuous fire watch shall be established on at least one side of the affected penetration within one hour."
Contrary to the above, on May 22, 1981, a hole approximately 2" x 9" was found to have been made in the fire wall between 8102 and k103 emergency diesel generator power board rooms and the required fire watch was not established.
This is a Severity Level V Violation (Supplement I).
