APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation Docket No. 50-220 This refers to the inspection conducted by representatives of the Region I (Philadelphia) office at the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Unit 1,

During this inspection, conducted on April 24-25,
- 1979, May 1-4, 1979
'nd Ma'y 8-13, 1979, the following apparent item of noncompliance was identified:
The Nine Mile Point Unit 1 Technical Specification 6.8.1 states, in part, that "Written procedures...shall be established, implemented and maintained."
Specification
- 22A6904, "Preheat and Postweld Heat Treatment for Steam Outlet Safe End Replacement,"
paragraph 4.3.3. states that "Thermocouple temperatures shall be recorded on a multi-channel chart recorder.
In addition, the thermocouple shal'1 be read and recorded on a temperature Tog sheet at intervals not to exceed 1/2 hour."
Contrary to the above, on May 9, 1979, thermocouple readings were recorded at one hour intervals on Temperature Log Sheet No. 2'or May 8-9, 1979.
