As counsel for Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation we hereby transmit three (3) originals and twenty-five (25) copies of an amendment entitled, "Amendment No. 3 to Petition Requesting Amendment of License." Accompanying this petition are seventy (70) copies of a document entitled, "Third Addendum to Technical Supplement to Petition to Xncrease Power Level."

This Amendment contains answers to certain questions which have been asked by members of the AEC Regulatory Staff in connection with Niagara Mohawk's Nine Mile Point Emergency Coze Cooling System.

Amendment No. 3 To Petition Requesting Amendment Of License Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, Licensee in the above-captioned proceeding, hereby files Amendment No. 3 to its Petition Requesting Amendment of License.

This Amendment transmits the Third Addendum to its "Technical Supplement to Petition to Increase Power Level." This Addendum contains supplementary information on the capacity of the Nine Mile Point Emergency Core Cooling System to provide suitable cooling of the reactor coze, if needed, at the increased power level which the Applicant has requested.
